Jenever : The Whisky Exchange
The ancestor of modern gin, Jenever is produced in Belgium and the Netherlands, where it is still extremely popular. There are three main types of jenever, jonge (meaning young), oude (old), and korenwijn (corn wine). Originally, invented around the middle of the 18th Century, Jenever is a blend of two ingredients, malt-wine and neutral spirits.
